Multi-Marketplace Management: Same Product, Different Profitability

The same product leaves a different profit on each platform because commission, shipping rates and return behavior vary between platforms.
Platform-based pricing
A single price policy is the easiest, but it does not optimize profit. The right approach is to calculate break-even plus a target margin for each platform and set the price accordingly:
- On a platform with a higher commission, the price can be somewhat higher
- On a platform with a shipping advantage, the price can be kept competitive
Operational tips
- Even if you use an integrator for stock synchronization, keep your profit calculation per platform.
- Take each platform’s commission rate from your own contract; your category may be classified differently across platforms.
- Compare net profit by platform in your monthly report; on a loss-making channel, either update the price or delist the product.
With KârHesapla’s marketplace list, you can save your platforms with their commissions and compare them in one click.
