Trendyol Ads and ACoS: Is Your Ad Budget Eating Your Profit?
February 20, 2026 · KârHesapla · Ferhat Demir · E-commerce Specialist
ACoS (Advertising Cost of Sale) is the ratio of ad spend to the revenue generated by ads: ACoS = Ad Spend / Ad Revenue × 100.
Break-even ACoS
The critical threshold is your profit margin. If your margin is 15%, every ACoS above 15% means you are selling at a loss through ads:
| Margin | Break-even ACoS | Target ACoS |
|---|---|---|
| 10% | 10% | 5–7% |
| 20% | 20% | 10–14% |
| 30% | 30% | 15–21% |
Practical recommendations
- Convert ad cost into a per-sale cost (monthly ad spend / monthly sales) and add it to your profit calculation as an extra cost.
- Instead of advertising low-margin products, focus on high-margin “hero” products.
- A high ACoS in the first weeks of a new product is normal; expect it to fall as reviews accumulate — if it does not, there is a problem with the product page.
